The Complete Temples of Ancient Egypt

This is a companion volume to Mark Lehner’s excellent Complete Pyramids (RR 98/98) and shares the same strengths: an expert author, clear layout and design, good index, abundant diagrams and tables and high quality illustrations. As with Lehner’s book, some users will find the lack of references and the use of a further reading section rather than a biblography, rather frustrating. As an example, Wilkinson refers to the recent work of Professor Fred Wendorf at Nabta Playa, where excavation has revealed an astronomically aligned structure, but there is no mention of Nabta Playa in the further reading section.
