Exerra names Ian Fleck as General Manager
Exerra, an innovative engineering technology and electronics assembly systems manufacturer based in Israel, has appointed industry veteran Ian Fleck as General Manager of its new North America team. The company has opened an office in Alpharetta, GA.
“Ian's expertise in printing, stencils and solder paste and his business experience give us the right combination of technical know-how and business acumen to help our customers succeed” said Eyal Wachtenberg,President, Exerra. “His contacts in the electronics field in North and South America extend his reach into a breadth of technical and commercial capabilities unparalleled in today's market.”
A native of Scotland, Fleck comes to Exerra from Cookson Electronics, where he was Global Business Development Manager for the Alpha Stencil and Printing Plate Group. Prior to that, he headed up stencil sales for North and South America. He came to the USA in 1992 as a Product Manager for Alpha USA to introduce laser cutting processes for making surface mount stencils became a Regional Sales Manager for all Alpha products in the USA before returning to the Alpha Stencil Group. In 15 years in the UK, he worked with The British Printing Corporation and chemical giant Du Pont. He also owned his own business, selling products to the surface mount industry in the UK, which made the switch to Stencil Product Management in the USA much easier (Figure 1).
