Mask Technology, Inc. announced it has been awarded a fourth patent associated with its "PPT" solder formation technology. The company had previously received process, product, and apparatus patents.

Mask Tek's more recent efforts are associated with the PPT method of forming adjacent deposits of various heights as well as solder spheres using solder paste. PPT formed spheres represent both a reduced capital equipment cost over conventional solder ball placement technology and raw materials savings of up to 70 percent.
