Product’s technical quality profile design based on competition analysis and customer requirements: an application to a real case Available to Purchase

This paper concerns the problem of product’s technical quality profile design based on competition analysis and customer requirements. A modified version of Qbench algorithm has been developed aiming to support the engineering design process. A set of values for the technical/engineering product characteristics is selected by means of a comparison with competitors’ products (benchmarking), and customer expectations. A numerical application is also provided.
