The Register will build into a comprehensive, searchable, continuously updated international database of recently completed projects and work in progress. Research includes, but is not restricted to: property development and management; tenure; land use and planning; building construction and surveying;housing and commercial properties; valuation and rating; financial management and law; environmental issues; sustainable building; facilities management;health and safety and new technologies.
Identify areas where research is needed.
Identify types of research under way, e.g. theoretical, applied research,case study.
Make sure that you are not duplicating research already under way.
Identify peers for collaborative research projects.
Identify possible sources of funding for research.
Identify possible research methodologies.
Track the history of research in a subject area.
Encourage collaborative projects between the academic and corporate sector.
