Palomar Technologies announced the opening of its new European office in Nuremberg, Germany. A complete engineering, sales, parts, repair, service, training and support facility, Palomar Technologies GmbH will be the European headquarters for the company's complete line of precision bonding equipment and application solutions.

Josef Schmidl, general manager, Europe, will head the office. Mr Schmidl has been with Palomar Technologies (previously Hughes Aircraft) for the past ten years. Having been a service engineer and then in sales, he is a valuable resource for European companies in the electronics, hybrid and microwave industries.

Besides maintaining its staff of sales, engineering and support personnel in Germany, Palomar GmbH has engineers and service operations throughout Europe.
