Texts on Music in English Available to Purchase

Jointly maintained by music departments at Indiana University and the University of Nebraska, Texts on Music in English (TME) seeks to make available in electronic form all extant English‐language sources on music theory and musical aesthetics from the middle ages to the seventeenth century. A constantly evolving, searchable database, the TME currently contains approximately 80 files, 32 of which are fifteenth century resources. The TME is a companion resource to the Thesaurus Musicaraum Latinarum and the Saggi Musicali Italiani.
